He touched the wall in 2:08.02 to earn the gold medal in the event. Brazil\u2019s<strong> Gabriel Bendeira<\/strong> took the silver medal in 2:09.56, while Ukraine\u2019s <strong>Vasyl<\/strong> <strong>Krainyk<\/strong> took the bronze in 2:09.92.<\/p>\n<p>Dunn\u2019s record broke the previous Paralympic mark of 2:08.16 set by Japan\u2019s <strong>Dai Tokairin<\/strong> in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The men\u2019s 100 butterfly S10 class brought another world record as Ukraine\u2019s <strong>Makysm Krypyak<\/strong> won the gold medal in 54.15 to break the record of 54.71 set by his compatriot <strong>Denys Dubrove<\/strong> at the Rio games in 2016. Italy\u2019s <strong>Stefano Raimondi<\/strong> took the silver (55.04) and Australia\u2019s <strong>Col Pearse<\/strong> took the bronze (57.66).<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/paralympic-games-day-7-women-morgan-stickney-completes-rapid-rise-to-gold-mikaela-jenkins-crowned\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Women&#8217;s Day 7 recap<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the men\u2019s 400 freestyle S8 Paralympic class, Russian Paralympic Committee\u2019s <strong>Andrei Nikolaev<\/strong> won the gold medal in 4:25.16. Italy\u2019s <strong>Alberto Amodeo<\/strong> took the silver in 4:25.93 and <strong>Matthew Torres<\/strong> of the U.S. took the bronze in 4:28.47. U.S. teammate <strong>Robert<\/strong> <strong>Griswold<\/strong> was fifth (4:31.96).<\/p>\n<p>In the men\u2019s 100 free S12 class, Azerbaijan\u2019s <strong>Raman Salei<\/strong> earned the gold medal in 52.69. Ukraine\u2019s <strong>Maksym Veraska<\/strong> took the silver medal in 52.87, while Great Britain\u2019s <strong>Stephen Clegg<\/strong> took the bronze in 53.43.<\/p>\n<p>In the men\u2019s 50 breaststroke SB2 class, Mexico\u2019s <strong>Arnulfo Castoren<\/strong>a won gold in 59.25, leading a 1-3-4 finish for Mexico with <strong>Jesus Hernandez<\/strong> (1:02.27) and <strong>Cristopher Tronco<\/strong> (1:04.46). The silver medal went to Australia\u2019s <strong>Grant Patterson<\/strong> (1:01.79).<\/p>\n<p>In the men\u2019s 50 free Paralympic S7 class, Ukraine claimed the gold and bronze medals with <strong>Andrii Trusov<\/strong> winning gold in 27.43 and <strong>Yevhenii Bohodaiko<\/strong> taking the bronze in 27.99.
