She is the stop seed in the event by just under two seconds. Jiang held the world record at 34.86 seconds. She undercuts that and the Olympic record set in 2016 by <strong>Eleanor Robinson<\/strong> of Great Britain.<\/p>\n<p>Behind Jiang, <strong>Elizabeth Marks<\/strong> set the America\u2019s record in the S6 women\u2019s 50 fly at 36.84. She\u2019s the third seed in the final, behind Jiang and <strong>Nicole Turner.<\/strong> Robinson is the fourth seed in the final.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/2020-tokyo-paralympic-games\">Full coverage of the Paralympic Games<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Jiang\u2019s record is one of six Paralympic records set on Monday, Day 6 of the competition. <strong>Lu Dong,<\/strong> who set world and Paralympic records in the women\u2019s S5 50 butterfly, set a Paralympic mark in the S5 50 back. The world-record holder was 11.3 seconds clear of the second-place finisher, <strong>Yang Bozun<\/strong> of China, whose Paralympic record from 2012 he took. Dorsman was within .35 seconds of his world record.<\/p>\n<p>Argentina\u2019s <strong>Pipo Carlomagno<\/strong> went 1:09.12 to set the pace in the men\u2019s S7 100 back. His time is a Paralympic record and Americas record. He downed the mark set by <strong>Jonathan Fox<\/strong> of Great Britain in London in 2012 (1:09.86), and he\u2019s within two tenths of the world record set by Ukraine\u2019s <strong>Bohdan Hrynenko<\/strong> in 2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>David Abrahams<\/strong> of the U.S. set the Americas record in the men\u2019s SM13 200 individual medley with a time of 2:14.23. He already holds the American record in the SM13 100 breast, which is still to come at the Games. Abrahams qualified fifth in the final, but he\u2019ll face a tough test to get on the medal stand in an event in which Belarus\u2019s <strong>Ihar Boki,<\/strong> who has four golds at these Games already, is the top seed. Boki went 2:08.24 and holds the Paralympic (2:04.02) and world (2:03.79) records.<\/p>\n<p>Mexico\u2019s <strong>Fabiola Ramirez<\/strong> set the S2 Americas record in both the 100 freestyle (2:32.47) and the 50 free off the front of it (1:13.69). In that mixed event with S3 swimmers, she didn\u2019t make the finals. The same is true for Turkey\u2019s <strong>Elif Ildem,<\/strong> who set the S1 100 free Paralympic record at 3:17.54.
