NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Utah has received their first verbal commitment for the 2022-23 season and beyond from Futures qualifier Landon Alarcon<\/strong> of Georgetown, Texas.<\/p>\n

He will join his older brother,\u00a0Greyson Alarcon<\/strong><\/a>, who swims for Louisville, in the NCAA.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m extremely excited to announce my commitment to the University of Utah to continue my athletic and academic career. I would like to thank my family, coaches, and my teammates who have gotten me to where I am today. Go Utes!!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A talented breaststroker and IMer, Alarcon trains year-round with Nitro Swimming and most recently earned 100% best times at Austin Sectionals last month where his highest finish was a 16th-place showing in the 200m breast. Back in December, he placed 14th in the 100 breast and 15th in the 200 breast at the 18&U Winter Championships – NT LAC.<\/p>\n

His best times include:<\/p>\n
