What about seeing the British star compete in some athletic disciplines outside of the water?<\/p>\n<p>Coming off his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/olympics-adam-peaty-defends-100-breaststroke-gold-arno-kamminga-gets-silver\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">second consecutive Olympic title in the 100 breaststroke<\/a> at the <a href=\"https:\/\/tokyo2020.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tokyo Games<\/a>, Peaty took to Twitter to suggest the revival of the once-popular television show, Superstars. Versions in Great Britain and the United States used to pit Olympic champions and top-tier athletes from a wide range of sports against one another in a variety of sporting events to determine the best of the bunch.<\/p>\n<p>Peaty used social media to make a push for a revitalization of the show, with his Tweet trending for a period. In addition to repeating as Olympic champ in the 100 breaststroke, in which he is the world-record holder, Peaty helped Great Britain to a gold medal in Tokyo in the 400 mixed medley relay (world record) and a silver medal in the 400 medley relay.<\/p>\n<p>Peaty is an athletic specimen and his involvement in a Superstars competition would be intriguing, as he could be seen testing his prowess on the track, in weightlifting and through an obstacle course, among other challenges.
