In our last poll, we wanted to know:\u00a0<strong>What has been your favorite moment in a freestyle event at the Olympics?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The four Olympic final options from which to choose were the women&#8217;s 400 freestyle, men&#8217;s 200 freestyle, women&#8217;s 1500 freestyle and men&#8217;s 100 freestyle. In the women&#8217;s 400 free, the United States&#8217; <strong>Katie Ledecky\u00a0<\/strong>held the early lead before Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ariarne Titmus\u00a0<\/strong>tracked her down and pulled away on the last lap to win gold, swimming the second-fastest time in history while Ledecky recorded the second-best time of her career. In the men&#8217;s 200 free, British swimmers\u00a0<strong>Tom Dean<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Duncan Scott<\/strong> overcame\u00a0<strong>Hwang Sun-Woo&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>huge early lead to come back and secure gold and silver for their country.<\/p>\n<p>Ledecky captured gold in the inaugural women&#8217;s 1500 free final at the Olympics, with fellow American\u00a0<strong>Erica Sullivan\u00a0<\/strong>surging down the stretch to finish second. And in the men&#8217;s 100 free final,\u00a0<strong>Caeleb Dressel<\/strong> finally won his first individual Olympic medal by holding off defending gold medalist\u00a0<strong>Kyle Chalmers\u00a0<\/strong>in an incredible last 15 meters.
