U.S. National Team Member Charlotte Hook Verbally Commits to Stanford for 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n

NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>U.S. National Team member Charlotte Hook\u00a0<\/strong>of Raleigh, N.C., arguably one of the most sought-out recruits in her year, has announced her verbal commitment to Stanford University as a member of the Class of 2026.<\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Lucy Bell<\/strong>,<\/a> Natalie Mannion<\/b><\/a>,\u00a0Sophie Duncan<\/a>,\u00a0Gigi<\/a>\u00a0Johnson<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Kristi McEnroe<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Kayla Wilson<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in Stanford\u2019s freshman class for the fall of 2022.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

“I am so honored and excited to officially announce my commitment to further my academic and athletic career at Stanford University; it really is a dream come true! A huge thank you to all my coaches who have helped me reach this point and to my friends and family for their endless support. I can\u2019t wait to be a part of such an amazing team and school!?\u2764\ufe0f”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

An extremely versatile swimmer, Hook trains year-round with TAC Titans, the same club program as Olympian\u00a0Claire Curzan<\/strong>. At the Olympic Trials in June, she finished third in the 200m fly as well as 12th in the 200m IM. She also earned bronze in the 200m fly at the FINA World Junior Championships in 2019.<\/p>\n

A rising senior at Cary Academy, Hook won the 100 fly and was the runner-up in the 200 IM at the NCISAA DI State Championships as a freshman.<\/p>\n
