Because of the way the schedule falls, four of the five events will be men&#8217;s races, and the heat sheet for that session is now available. The schedule includes the men&#8217;s 100 freestyle, women&#8217;s 200 butterfly, men&#8217;s 200 breaststroke, men&#8217;s 800 freestyle relay and men&#8217;s 800 freestyle.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/2020-tokyo-olympic-games\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Full Olympics coverage<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/olympics.com\/tokyo-2020\/olympic-games\/en\/results\/swimming\/olympic-schedule-and-results.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Event schedule and results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/2021-tokyo-olympics-day-four-prelims-heat-sheets-international-elite-2021-07-24.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Day four prelims heat sheets<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Caeleb Dressel<\/strong>, who led off the U.S. men&#8217;s 400 free relay squad Monday morning and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/olympics-zach-apple-punctuates-title-in-400-freestyle-relay-as-american-dominance-grows-updated\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">helped the Americans earn a gold medal<\/a>, will be the top seed in the men&#8217;s 100 free. He will be in heat nine along with\u00a0<strong>Alessandro Miressi<\/strong> and 16-year-old\u00a0<strong>David Popovici<\/strong>, while defending Olympic gold medalist\u00a0<strong>Kyle Chalmers<\/strong> will swim in heat eight. European champion\u00a0<strong>Kliment Kolesnikov<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Zach Apple<\/strong>, who anchored that U.S. men&#8217;s relay to gold, will be in heat seven.<\/p>\n<p>The women&#8217;s 200 fly, meanwhile, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/only-17-swimmers-entered-in-womens-200-butterfly-for-tokyo-olympics-just-19-in-womens-400-im\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">has only 17 swimmers competing<\/a>, so all but one of the swimmers will advance to the semifinals. 100 fly silver medalist <strong>Zhang Yufei<\/strong> is the top seed, followed by 400 IM bronze medalist\u00a0<strong>Hali Flickinger<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>World-record holder\u00a0<strong>Anton Chupkov\u00a0<\/strong>of the Russian Olympic Committee leads the way in the men&#8217;s 200 breast, while the two men who have challenged his world record this year,\u00a0Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Zac Stubblety-Cook<\/strong> and Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Shoma Sato<\/strong>, will each be in separate heats.<\/p>\n<p>The men&#8217;s 800 free relay will see the Russian Olympic Committee and Italy in heat one, while top-seeded and world champion Australia, four-time defending champion United States and pre-meet favorite Great Britain will all be in the second and final heat.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the men&#8217;s 800 free will make its Olympic debut with Italy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Gregorio Paltrinieri<\/strong> entering as the reigning world champion and top seed in the event. This will be Paltrinieri&#8217;s first swim in Tokyo after dealing with mononucleosis last month. 400 free silver medalist\u00a0<strong>Jack McLoughlin<\/strong> is seeded fourth, and Tunisia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ahmed Hafnaoui<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/olympics-tunisian-tigers-tokyo-dream-ahmed-hafnaouis-wild-celebration-after-winning-shock-gold-from-lane-eight\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the shocking gold medalist in the 400 free<\/a>, will enter seeded eighth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Olympics: Day Four Prelims Heat Sheets Up;
