NEW COMMIT:<\/strong> Junior National qualifier Kevin Maas\u00a0<\/strong>of Holland, Mich. will remain in state for his college career after verbally committing to the University of Michigan beginning in the fall of 2022.<\/p>\n

He will join\u00a0Matthew Kroll<\/strong>,<\/a> Ozan Kalafat<\/strong>,<\/a>\u00a0Lucas Hodgson<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Logan Zucker<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0as a member of the Class of 2026.<\/p>\n

Maas’s older brother, Derek Maas<\/strong><\/a>, will be a junior at Alabama this upcoming season.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

“Michigan offers the perfect combination of elite academic initiatives and a premier athletic program. I am thrilled to continue my educational and swimming careers at such a prominent institution with deeply instilled traditions of excellence in and out of the pool. A talented sprinter, Maas trains year-round with Michigan Lakeshore Aquatics and recorded a best time in the 100m free at Elkhart Sectionals back in March. In July 2019, he earned bronze in the 50m back at the Michigan Open Long Course Championships.<\/p>\n
