NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Futures qualifier\u00a0Amy Riordan\u00a0<\/strong>of Martinez, Ga. has announced her verbal commitment to the University of South Carolina beginning in the fall of 2022.<\/p>\n

She will join in-stater Sterling Burd<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>of Hilton Head, S.C. as a member of the Gamecock’s Class of 2026.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

I\u2019d like to thank my parents, coaches, friends and teammates who helped make this possible! go gamecocks and spurs up!\ufe0f??<\/strong>“<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A versatile swimmer, Riordan does her club swimming with Aiken-Augusta Swim League and placed sixth in the 200m back at the TYR 18&U Spring Cup in Orlando earlier this spring after finaling in five events at Cary Sectionals. She also won the 200 free and 500 free at the 18&U Winter Championships – SC TG in December.<\/p>\n

In Summer 2019, she collected two gold medals at the Southern Zone Age Group Championships.<\/p>\n
