UPPSALA, Sweden, January 26. A pair of swimmers doubled up on the final day of competition at the Swedish Grand Prix held in Uppsala today.<\/p>\n

Josefin Lindkvist opened the second day of swimming with a 57.85 to win the women’s 100-meter free. Liz Hansson touched second in 58.86, while Nadja Salomonsson posted a third-place 58.94. Lindvkist doubled up with a 28.12 to win the women’s 50-meter fly. Dublin’s Shauna O’Brien touched second in 28.31, while Klara Thormalm earned third in 28.53.<\/p>\n

Alex Pettersson snagged the men’s 50-meter back title in 26.83, while Pontus Palmqvist placed second in 27.11. Niklas Borin wound up third in 27.25. Petterson then doubled with a 2:03.58 to win the men’s 200-meter back. Mattias Carlsson took second in 2:06.41, while Fabian Bergman placed third in 2:08.41.<\/p>\n

Jessica Billquist captured the women’s 50-meter breaststroke title in 32.60 with Mari Louise Tran taking second in 33.34. Klara Thormalm wound up third in 33.45. Niklas Tour then won the men’s 100-meter breast in 1:04.50. Andreas Elofsson (1:05.00) and Gulliver Koch (1:05.80) rounded out the top three.<\/p>\n

Jaqueline Hippi topped the women’s 400-meter IM in 5:02.71, while Dublin’s Shani Stallard finished second in 5:03.56. Celine Bertrand picked up third overall in 5:07.10. Jesper Jonsson then touched out Jesper Bjork, 56.56 to 56.61, in the men’s 100-meter fly. Alexander Nystrom checked in with a third-place 56.82 in a close finish that even saw Joachim Bratt break 57 with a 56.99 to finish fourth.<\/p>\n

A day after doubling, Therese Svendsen was right back at it with a 1:02.42 to dominate the women’s 100-meter back. Marlene Pavlu Lewin took second in 1:05.25, while Erika Carlen claimed third in 1:05.65. Mattias Carlsson turned in a 1:53.11 to win the men’s 200-meter free. Adam Paulsson finished second in 1:54.90, while Isak Eliasson placed third in 1:56.06.<\/p>\n

Agnes Wiiand overtook Elin Podeus down the stretch to win the women’s 200-meter fly, 2:02.37 to 2:20.68. Wiiand had trailed by nearly a second at the 150-meter mark before powering home. Celine Bertrand pocketed third in 2:27.01. Linus Kanth then won the men’s 200-meter IM in 2:08.05 with Anton Andersson finishing second in 2:09.71. Jesper Bjork picked up a second podium with a third-place 2:09.94.<\/p>\n

Erica Dahlgren cruised to victory in the women’s 400-meter free with a 4:25.74, while Nadja Salomonsson posted a 4:27.81 for second. Louise Hjalmarsson placed third overall in 4:31.29. Isak Eliasson moved from third in the 200 free to first in the men’s 50-meter free with a 23.85. Oscar Ekstrom placed second in 24.51, while Dublin’s David Prendergast finished third in 24.58.<\/p>\n

Vendela Norrman claimed the women’s 200-meter breaststroke title in 2:36.43, blasting the rest of the field. Sara Wallberg finished a distant second in 2:41.31, while Jessica Billquist placed third in 2:41.34. Victor Johasson won the men’s 1500-meter free in 16:19.30 with Christopher Jedel taking second in 16:32.75. Simon Wanna placed third in 16:42. 46.<\/p>\n
