I\u2019m so thankful for my family, friends, teammates, and coaches who helped me get to where I am and make this happen. Both the CSU coaches and swimmers are supportive and welcoming. I can\u2019t wait to call CSU my home! GO RAMS!&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A versatile swimmer, Hembree does her club swimming with First Colony Swim Team and earned a best time at the FCST Long Course Invite in April where she won four events. She had a strong showing at Des Moines Futures in August 2019 and competed on relays at Juniors West that December.<\/p>\n<p>Her best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100 free &#8211; 51.99<\/li>\n<li>100 breast &#8211; 1:05.24<\/li>\n<li>200 breast &#8211; 2:20.64<\/li>\n<li>100 fly &#8211; 56.81<\/li>\n<li>200 IM &#8211; 2:05.59<\/li>\n<li>400 IM &#8211; 4:28.72<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A rising senior at George Ranch High School, Hembree placed eighth in the 200 IM at the Texas 6A State Championships this past season. She was the runner-up in that event at the Region V meet as well.<\/p>\n<p>The Rams are bringing in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/colorado-state-collects-set-of-verbal-commitments-from-erin-dawson-maya-white\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Erin Dawson<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/colorado-state-collects-set-of-verbal-commitments-from-erin-dawson-maya-white\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Maya White<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/colorado-state-enters-2021-recruiting-game-with-verbals-from-emily-chorpening-katie-mcclelland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Emily Chorpening<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/colorado-state-enters-2021-recruiting-game-with-verbals-from-emily-chorpening-katie-mcclelland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Katie McClelland<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0this fall, so Hembree will have two years of overlap with them.<\/p>\n<p>Under head coach\u00a0<strong>Chris Woodard<\/strong>, Colorado State finished fifth at the 2021 Mountain West Championships.<\/p>\n<p><i>If you have a commitment to share, please send a photo and quote via email to hs@swimmingworld.com.<\/i><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NEW COMMIT:\u00a0Colorado State University has received a new verbal commitment for the 2022-23 season and beyond from Futures qualifier Ashlyn Hembree\u00a0of Richmond, Texas.
