With five weeks until the Olympic Games, the United States will be selecting its Olympic team this week in Omaha, Nebraska. The finals of the men\u2019s and women&#8217;s 50 free, and the men&#8217;s 1500 will be held on Sunday night as the meet will conclude with the Olympic team finalized. Finals will start at 7:15 p.m. CST, and will be streamed on NBCOlympics.com and NBC.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/stream.nbcolympics.com\/swimming-us-trials-day-8-finals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Stream<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.omegatiming.com\/2021\/us-olympic-team-trials-wave-ii-live-results\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/2021-us-olympic-trials-day-eight-finals-heat-sheets-day-8-usa-senior-national-2021-06-20.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Heat Sheets<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Caeleb Dressel\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Abbey Weitzeil\u00a0<\/strong>are the top seeds in the 50 freestyle and will be looking to double up in the sprint frees after winning the 100 free earlier. Dressel and Weitzeil are already off to their second Olympics as they will close out the meet in Omaha.<\/p>\n<p>These 50s look to be the last gasp for\u00a0<strong>Nathan Adrian<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Simone Manuel<\/strong>, who have long been staples on the U.S. national team in sprint freestyle. The last time Manuel wasn&#8217;t on a national team trip was the 2012 Olympics, and the last time for Adrian was the 2007 Worlds. Adrian is the third seed behind two-time Trials champ\u00a0<strong>Michael Andrew<\/strong> and missed the final in the 100 freestyle. Manuel is also the third seed behind 100 butterfly champ\u00a0<strong>Torri Huske\u00a0<\/strong>as she also missed the final in the 100 freestyle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bobby Finke\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Michael Brinegar\u00a0<\/strong>have a chance to repeat their 1-2 finish in the 800 as they are again side by side in the finals of the 1500. Open water Olympian\u00a0<strong>Jordan Wilimovsky\u00a0<\/strong>is the third seed and finished fourth in this event at the 2016 Olympics as he is already on the team in the 10K but has yet to pick up an event for the pool.<\/p>\n<p>The Olympic team will be finalized tonight as swimming at the Olympics begins in 34 days.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After a five-year long wait, the US Olympic Trials have finally arrived.
