I am a high level athlete, I always want to do better!\u00a0It&#8217;s like that with the Metellas.\u00a0Even first at the Games, we will be working hard on the clock.\u00a0We always want to go faster.&#8221;<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Of his ambitions for the Games, he said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span>&#8220;I&#8217;ll start by resting. <\/span><span>We leave on July 10th for the final camp in Japan and the competition starts on July 23rd.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8220;I would have liked to leave later so as not to lose too much juice, but the context is special. <\/span><span>Afterwards, for the tests, we will see.&#8221;<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The 28-year-old underwent shoulder surgery in January 2020 after which he faced months of rehab.<\/p>\n<p>He said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span>&#8220;Yes, it is true, even if it has been a long time! For several months in training, I swam on one arm.\u00a0It took me a long time to find all my means.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8220;But clearly, this is the worst year of my career. well inside the cut &#8211; and is set for a busy schedule in Tokyo with the two IMs and 200 fly in which he became the second-fastest Frenchman behind only <strong>Franck Esposito<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/charlotte-bonnet-books-trip-to-third-games-leon-marchand-adds-200-fly-t0-programme\/\">after going 1:55.40.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>World silver medallist <strong>Jeremy Desplanches<\/strong> of Switzerland was second in 1:59.23 with <strong>Mewen Tomac<\/strong> &#8211; Tokyo-bound in the backstroke events &#8211; just 0.06 outside the cut of 1:59.69 in 1:59.75.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Enzo Tesic<\/strong> was the third Frenchman home in 2:00.51.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fantine Lesaffre<\/strong> &#8211;
