With five weeks until the Olympic Games, the United States will be selecting its Olympic team this week in Omaha, Nebraska. The finals of the men&#8217;s 100 fly, women&#8217;s 200 back, and the women&#8217;s 800 free will be held on Saturday night, along with the semifinals of the men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s 50 free, as the meet is starting to come down to the wire with two more sessions remaining. Finals will start at 8 p.m. CST, an hour later than the usual finals sessions, and will be streamed on NBCOlympics.com and NBC.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/stream.nbcolympics.com\/swimming-us-trials-day-7-finals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Stream<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.omegatiming.com\/2021\/us-olympic-team-trials-wave-ii-live-results\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/2021-us-olympic-trials-day-seven-finals-heat-sheets-day-7-usa-senior-national-2021-06-19.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Heat Sheets<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>World record holders and reigning World champs\u00a0<strong>Caeleb Dressel\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Regan Smith\u00a0<\/strong>will start tonight&#8217;s finals in the 100 butterfly and 200 back finals as they will look to pick up their second and third events for Tokyo respectively. Dressel is already on the team after winning the 100 freestyle, and Smith is on the team after winning the 100 backstroke and finishing second in the 200 butterfly.\u00a0<strong>Tom Shields\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Phoebe Bacon\u00a0<\/strong>are the second seeds in those events and look to be the clear favorites to get the second spot on to the team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katie Ledecky\u00a0<\/strong>will be looking to win her fourth event of the weekend with the 800 freestyle to close out her Trials meet, while club teammates <strong>Erica Sullivan\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Bella Sims\u00a0<\/strong>will be battling for the runner-up spot in the event.<\/p>\n<p>Dressel and\u00a0<strong>Abbey Weitzeil\u00a0<\/strong>are the top seeds in the 50 free after both of them won the 100 freestyle, while reigning World champion <strong>Simone Manuel\u00a0<\/strong>and Rio bronze medalist\u00a0<strong>Nathan Adrian\u00a0<\/strong>are down to their last gasps to make the team.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After a five-year long wait, the US Olympic Trials have finally arrived.
