He cut seven tenths off his seed time to get under the Olympic A standard. He also downed the time of 51.83 set by <strong>Santo Condorelli<\/strong> at the Rio Olympics that had been the Canadian record.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/results.swimming.ca\/2020_Olympic_Swimming_Trials\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Results<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Second is <strong>Finlay Knox<\/strong> in 53.16. That\u2019s within a second of her best time, which is the Canadian record and an Olympic A cut. MacNeil is already <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/swimming-canada-names-early-olympians-delays-trials-to-may\/\">provisionally selected for the Olympics in this event<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Second was a surprise in <strong>Katerine Savard,<\/strong> the 28-year-old slicing 1.8 seconds off her seed time to go 58.13 and earn the second seed in finals. Third is <strong>Rebecca Smith,<\/strong> who has an A cut in 57.59, but went 58.94 in the morning. Second was <strong>Kayla Sanchez<\/strong> in a personal-best 59.78, which is an Olympic A cut. <strong>Ingrid Wilm<\/strong> is third, getting a fresh A cut of 59.88 to take the third seed.<\/p>\n<p>Fifth in the morning was <strong>Taylor Ruck,<\/strong> who entered with an A cut of 58.55.
