With five weeks until the Olympic Games, the United States will be selecting its Olympic team this week in Omaha, Nebraska. The prelims of the men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s 50 free and the men&#8217;s 1500 will be held on Saturday morning as the meet is starting to come down to the wire with three more sessions remaining. Prelims will start at 10 a.m. CST, an hour later than the usual finals sessions, and will be streamed on NBCOlympics.com and NBC.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/stream.nbcolympics.com\/swimming-us-trials-wave-2-day-7-prelims\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Stream<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.omegatiming.com\/2021\/us-olympic-team-trials-wave-ii-live-results\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/2021-us-olympic-trials-day-seven-prelims-heat-sheets-day-7-usa-senior-national-2021-06-19.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Heat Sheets<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Abbey Weitzeil\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Caeleb Dressel\u00a0<\/strong>will be looking to back up their wins in the 100 freestyle as they get back up on the blocks for the 50 free.\u00a0<strong>Simone Manuel\u00a0<\/strong>will have her last shot to get on the Olympic team after finishing ninth in the semifinals of the 100 free, while this will also be\u00a0<strong>Nathan Adrian&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>last chance to get on the team. Defending Olympic gold medalist\u00a0<strong>Anthony Ervin\u00a0<\/strong>will also be swimming the event and young rising star\u00a0<strong>David Curtiss<\/strong>, who set the national high school record this year in the 50 free short course yards.<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s race, Olympians <strong>Claire Curzan<\/strong>, <strong>Kate Douglass<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Torri Huske\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Natalie Hinds\u00a0<\/strong>will be looking to add an event to the Games.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s 1500,\u00a0<strong>Bobby Finke\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Jordan Wilimovsky\u00a0<\/strong>look like the clear frontrunners for the two spots to Tokyo while\u00a0<strong>Michael Brinegar\u00a0<\/strong>is the third seed after getting second in the 800.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After a five-year long wait, the US Olympic Trials have finally arrived.
