THEMAGIC5 announce six-time Olympic medalist Matt Grevers<\/strong> as new investor. The American backstroke and freestyle swimmer will partner with THEMAGIC5<\/a> as an athlete as well as an investor. \u201cGetting Matt on board is a huge milestone for our business, he\u2019s one of the biggest names in US swimming and his testament to our product and our team will really help us make swimming better for everyone\u201d says Rasmus Barfred<\/strong>, co-founder of THEMAGIC5.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Grevers, who holds four Olympic gold medals and represented the United States of America at the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London Olympics, was initially introduced to THEMAGIC5 by a friend.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI tried a pair and I thought it was awesome. The whole process of scanning your face and getting to pick the style, it really felt like a custom goggle all the way throughout the process. I\u2019m really tall and my dimensions are strange, it\u2019s hard to find something that fits.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

THEMAGIC5 uses technology unlike any other goggle company. Its app takes thousands of precise measurements of a swimmer\u2019s face to create goggles with a custom fit. Gaskets and nose pieces are individually tailored to eliminate common swimming frustrations like goggle leaks and facial discomfort caused by poor fit or too much suction.<\/span><\/p>\n

The way you get it is the best way it fits on you and that\u2019s because it\u2019s scanned to your face,\u201d Grevers states.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

THEMAGIC5 uses 3D printing of the lenses and direct-to-consumer sales to allow the goggles to be made and sold at a price comparable to mass-produced competitors, creating a comfortable and high-performance swimming experience for all.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI believe in their product and I believe I can have a positive impact to make their product more valuable and have more exposure,\u201d Grevers says. \u201cThere\u2019s a great need of this technology in the swimming world and then beyond. It’s really limitless opportunities.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Grevers also joins THEMAGIC5<\/a> as an investor. The innovation and potential of the technology appealed to Grevers not just an athlete but also as an investor. Grevers is involved in real estate and business investment and saw a unique opportunity with THEMAGIC5 to bring together his swimming expertise and business.<\/span><\/p>\n
