With six weeks until the Olympic Games, the United States will be selecting its Olympic team this week in Omaha, Nebraska. The prelims of the women&#8217;s 800 free, men&#8217;s 100 fly and women&#8217;s 200 back will be held on Friday morning as the meet is starting to come down to the wire. Prelims will begin at 11 a.m. CST and will be streamed on NBCOlympics.com.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/stream.nbcolympics.com\/swimming-us-trials-wave-2-day-6-prelims\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Stream<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.omegatiming.com\/2021\/us-olympic-team-trials-wave-ii-live-results\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/2021-us-olympic-trials-day-six-prelims-heat-sheets-day-6-usa-senior-national-2021-06-18.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Heat Sheets<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Katie Ledecky\u00a0<\/strong>will begin her Olympic defense in the 800 free as she is looking to become the fourth swimmer ever &#8211; after\u00a0<strong>Dawn Fraser<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Krisztina Egerszegi\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Michael Phelps\u00a0<\/strong>to win three Olympic titles in a row in the same event. Ledecky is the top seed in the event while\u00a0<strong>Leah Smith\u00a0<\/strong>is on her last gasp to make the team for Tokyo while\u00a0<strong>Paige Madden\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Erica Sullivan\u00a0<\/strong>will look to pick up another event for the Games.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Caeleb Dressel\u00a0<\/strong>is looking to grab a second event for the Games with the top seeded time in the 100 butterfly ahead of\u00a0<strong>Maxime Rooney\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Jack Conger\u00a0<\/strong>while\u00a0<strong>Andrew Seliskar\u00a0<\/strong>is already on the team in the 4&#215;200 free relay and the fourth seed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Regan Smith\u00a0<\/strong>is the top seed in the 200 backstroke as she is trying to qualify for her third event for the Olympics as\u00a0<strong>Rhyan White<\/strong>, who finished second in the 100, is swimming right next to Smith in the last heat. Wisconsin&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Pheobe Bacon<\/strong>, who won this year&#8217;s NCAA title, will factor into who makes the team in the 200 back on Saturday night.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After a five-year long wait, the US Olympic Trials have finally arrived.
