With six weeks until the Olympic Games, the United States will be selecting its Olympic team this week in Omaha, Nebraska. The prelims of the women&#8217;s 100 free, men&#8217;s 200 back, women&#8217;s 200 breast and men&#8217;s 200 IM will be held on Thursday morning. Prelims will begin at 11 a.m. CST and will be streamed on NBCOlympics.com.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/stream.nbcolympics.com\/swimming-us-trials-wave-2-day-5-prelims\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Stream<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.omegatiming.com\/2021\/us-olympic-team-trials-wave-ii-live-results\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/2021-us-olympic-trials-day-five-prelims-heat-sheets-day-5-usa-senior-national-2021-06-17.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Heat Sheets<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thursday will be the first the Omaha crowd gets to see reigning Olympic champ and two-time World champ\u00a0<strong>Simone Manuel\u00a0<\/strong>in the heats of the 100 freestyle as she starts her Tokyo defense. Four spots on the 4&#215;100 free relay will be on the line as\u00a0<strong>Mallory Comerford<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Abbey Weitzeil<\/strong> and <strong>Erika Brown\u00a0<\/strong>follow Manuel on the psych sheet. Among those three, only Weitzeil has made an Olympic team before, but all four of them have yet to make the team for Tokyo.\u00a0<strong>Torri Huske<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Claire Curzan\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Allison Schmitt\u00a0<\/strong>will be swimming in the 100 free as they have already secured their spots on the plane to Tokyo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ryan Murphy\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Lilly King\u00a0<\/strong>already secured their tickets to Tokyo in the 100 back and 100 breast, and will get a chance to make a second event for the Games, while\u00a0<strong>Annie Lazor\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Austin Katz\u00a0<\/strong>are seeded in the top two in those events.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ryan Lochte\u00a0<\/strong>will have a chance to make his fifth Olympic team in the 200 IM while\u00a0<strong>Chase Kalisz\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Michael Andrew\u00a0<\/strong>will be looking to make a second event after winning the 400 IM and 100 breaststroke on Sunday night.\u00a0<strong>Caeleb Dressel\u00a0<\/strong>unsurprisingly scratched the 200 IM to focus on the 100 free final on Thursday night.<\/p>\n<p>Prelims will begin at 11 a.m. CST and will be streamed on NBCOlympics.com.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After a five-year long wait, the US Olympic Trials have finally arrived.
