With six weeks until the Olympic Games, the United States will be selecting its Olympic team this week in Omaha, Nebraska. The heats of the men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s 100 back, women&#8217;s 100 breast will be held Monday with those finals set to happen Tuesday night, while the women&#8217;s 400 free heats and finals will be held Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Prelims will begin at 10 a.m. central standard time from Omaha, Nebraska and will be streamed on NBCOlympics.com.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/stream.nbcolympics.com\/swimming-us-trials-wave-2-day-2-prelims\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Stream<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.omegatiming.com\/2021\/us-olympic-team-trials-wave-ii-live-results\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/2021-us-olympic-trials-wave-ii-day-two-finals-heat-sheets-day-2-usa-senior-national-2021-06-14.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Heat Sheets<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The women&#8217;s 100 back will be the highlight of the session as any six swimmers in the last three heats could come through for the top two spots on Tuesday night.\u00a0Former world record holder\u00a0<strong>Regan Smith\u00a0<\/strong>is the top seed on the psych sheet ahead of 2019 Worlds bronze medalist\u00a0<strong>Olivia Smoliga\u00a0<\/strong>and Alabama&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Rhyan White<\/strong>. Former world record holder\u00a0<strong>Kathleen Baker\u00a0<\/strong>and NCAA champ\u00a0<strong>Katharine Berkoff\u00a0<\/strong>will also factor into the top two as will Pan American gold medalist\u00a0<strong>Phoebe Bacon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The first relay selection will also come to fruition with\u00a0<strong>Kieran Smith<\/strong> in the 200 free after making the Olympic team in the 400 as he is seeded behind 2016 Trials champ\u00a0<strong>Townley Haas\u00a0<\/strong>and 2018 national champ\u00a0<strong>Andrew Seliskar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>World record holders\u00a0<strong>Lilly King\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Ryan Murphy\u00a0<\/strong>will look to defend their 2016 gold medals in their respective events, with King leading the 100 breast and Murphy leading the 100 back.\u00a0<strong>Katie Ledecky\u00a0<\/strong>will look to respond to Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ariarne Titmus\u00a0<\/strong>3:56.9 on Sunday evening across the world in the heats of the 400 free as she will swim her first event of Trials, along with fellow superstar\u00a0<strong>Caeleb Dressel\u00a0<\/strong>in the 200 freestyle.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After a five-year long wait, the US Olympic Trials have finally arrived.
