Spink is now tied for 12th all-time in the 15-16 age group in this event as she is tied with <strong>Jasmine Tosky<\/strong>. Spink had never been under 56 seconds before today and officially punched her ticket to the Wave II Olympic Trials next week and is close to being ranked in the top 30 nationally.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stream.nbcolympics.com\/swimming-us-trials-wave-1-night-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Stream<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Spink, who swims for 1996 Olympic silver medalist\u00a0<strong>Jeremy Linn<\/strong>, will be joined by Indiana commit\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/indiana-state-champion-kristina-paegle-stays-close-to-home-gives-verbal-to-hoosiers-for-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kristina Paegle<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(55.91), who turned fifth at the 50 and swam a 29.07 on the second 50 to grab second. Paegle finished ahead of fellow Indiana native\u00a0<strong>Trude Rothrock\u00a0<\/strong>(56.01) from lane seven and\u00a0<strong>Sarah Shackelford\u00a0<\/strong>(56.20) of Virginia Tech. The top seed on the psych sheet,\u00a0<strong>Mykenzie Leehy\u00a0<\/strong>(56.28) finished in fifth ahead of 2018 juniors champ\u00a0<strong>Christiana Regenauer\u00a0<\/strong>(56.29).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Results:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Camille Spink, 55.25<\/li>\n<li>Kristina Paegle, 55.91<\/li>\n<li>Trude Rothrock, 56.01<\/li>\n<li>Sarah Shackelford, 56.20<\/li>\n<li>Mykenzie Leehy, 56.28<\/li>\n<li>Christiana Regenauer, 56.29<\/li>\n<li>Marina Spadoni, 56.36<\/li>\n<li>Zoe Skirboll, 56.39<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s 100 free, 17-year-old\u00a0<strong>Patrick Sammon\u00a0<\/strong>of Aqua SOL broke 50 seconds for the first time with a 49.94 as he moved himself to 35th all-time in the 17-18 age group. Sammon, who is committed to Arizona State, had been as quick as a 50.06 in his career as he earned his ticket to Wave II next week with a wire to wire win here in the 100 free.<\/p>\n<p>Sammon won ahead of NC State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Luke Miller\u00a0<\/strong>(50.05), who also moved on to Wave II as he was a 50.15 back in late 2019, improving on his best time here in Omaha.<\/p>\n<p>Louisville&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Michael Eastman\u00a0<\/strong>(50.14) and top seed\u00a0<strong>Andrew Benson\u00a0<\/strong>of Wisconsin (50.17) finished in third and fourth while\u00a0<strong>Seth Bailey\u00a0<\/strong>(50.38) and\u00a0<strong>Steven Richardson\u00a0<\/strong>(50.75) finished fifth and sixth.
