The Canet-En-Roussillon stop follows the opening leg of the tour, which was held <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/thom-de-boer-sets-dutch-50-free-record-of-21-62-at-mare-nostrum\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">over the weekend in Monaco<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the biggest names in the sport are scheduled to race in France, headlined by Sweden\u2019s Sarah Sjostrom, the multiple Olympic medalist who is recovering from a broken elbow earlier this year that required surgery. Sjostrom is entered in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle, and her performances will provide an indicator of where she stands with the Tokyo Games fast approaching. The reigning Olympic champion in the 100 butterfly, it remains to be seen if Sjostrom will be able to defend her crown in a little less than two months.<\/p>\n<p>Coming off a solid showing in Monaco, Hungary\u2019s <strong>Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> will contest a multi-event schedule, including appearances in the 200 individual medley and 400 individual medley. On the men\u2019s side, South African <strong>Chad Le Clos<\/strong> is one of the headliners as he prepares to chase Olympic medals in the 100 butterfly and 200 butterfly.
