This will be the second consecutive Games in this role for Dr. Lynch, who also served in a similar role for Team USA at a variety of major competitions, including the 2015 and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/with-improved-health-katie-ledecky-advances-to-final-of-800-freestyle-leah-smith-qualifies-first\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2019 FINA World Championships<\/a> and the 2018 Pan Pacific Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Kremen, who currently serves as a team physician for the UCLA Bruins NCAA Division I athletics team and as the Assistant Orthopedic Physician for the NBA\u2019s Los Angeles Lakers, will be making his first Olympic Games appearance. He also recently served in the role for USA Swimming at the 2019 FINA World Championships, as well as both the 2016 and 2018 Short Course World Championships. Former National Team swimmer <strong>Dr. Matt Lowe<\/strong> will be the team chiropractor.<\/p>\n<p>Rounding out the medical staff is physical therapist <strong>Brian Cunningham<\/strong>, physician\u2019s assistant <strong>Andy Eberheart<\/strong> and massage therapists <strong>Amy Murry<\/strong> and <strong>Cyrus Poitier<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alex Dawson<\/strong>, the Director of Operations, Swimming and Diving at <a href=\"https:\/\/12thman.com\/sports\/womens-swimming-and-diving\/roster\/staff\/alex-dawson\/223\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Texas A&amp;M University<\/a>, will serve as team manager. He worked in the same role for USA Swimming at the 2019 FINA World Championships and was the Assistant Manager at Worlds in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHaving a strong team behind the team is vital in the success of our athletes at international events.\u201d USA Swimming National Team Managing Director <strong>Lindsay Mintenko<\/strong> said. \u201cThe carefully developed trust and confidence in our support team, built in the years leading up to the Olympic Games, allows our coaches and athletes to focus on the task at hand and succeeding at the highest level.
