The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/junior-national-finalist-tona-zinn-gives-northwestern-big-verbal-for-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Northwestern commit<\/a> won the 200 IM in 1:46.47, lowering the previous mark of 1:46.91 from 2015. Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks) &#8211; 164<br \/>\n2. Murrieta Mesa &#8211; 160<br \/>\n2. Portola &#8211; 160<br \/>\n4. El Segundo &#8211; 139<br \/>\n5. Woodbridge &#8211; 120<\/p>\n<p>Despite not having any individual event winners, Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks) won the 4&#215;50 medley relay in 1:33.91. They also narrowly finished second in the 4&#215;100 free relay in 3:08.94, just behind champion El Segundo&#8217;s 3:08.88.<\/p>\n<p>Notre Dame&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Evan Yoo<\/strong>, who is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/army-west-point-secures-verbal-from-junior-national-200-breast-finalist-evan-yoo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">off to Army West Point<\/a> this fall, was also under the previous 100 breast DII record but wound up with silver. Yoo was also the runner-up in the 200 IM, touching in 1:50.75.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Zinn, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/penn-state-scores-first-class-of-2026-verbal-from-futures-finalist-justin-schneider\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">future Nittany Lion<\/a> <strong>Justin Schneider\u00a0<\/strong>of\u00a0Murrieta Mesa also found himself on top of the podium in a pair of events. Saugus &#8211; 106<\/p>\n<p>Corona del Mar&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Maggie Schalow\u00a0<\/strong>led her team to victory as the meet&#8217;s only double-event winner on the girls&#8217; side. The sophomore won the 100 fly (53.83) and 200 free (1:47.99) in addition to swimming on the winning 4&#215;50 medley relay.<\/p>\n<p>This was Corona del Mar&#8217;s first title since 2006 and their third overall in program history.<\/p>\n<p>The other Corona del Mar winner included <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/grace-endaya-michelle-tekawy-will-stay-in-state-hand-2021-verbals-to-uc-santa-barbara\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">soon-to-be Gaucho<\/a> <strong>Michelle Tekawy\u00a0<\/strong>in the 100 breast with a time of 1:03.34, who just out-touched <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/olympic-trials-qualifier-morganne-malloy-verbally-commits-to-ucla-for-2022-23-season\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UCLA commit<\/a> <strong>Morganne Malloy\u00a0<\/strong>(1:03.53) of Capistrano Valley.<\/p>\n<p>The sprint freestyle events proved to be exciting: Saugus&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Riley Botton <\/strong>won the 50 free (23.33) and was the runner-up in the 100 free (50.42).
