Sept. 14-18 in Orlando<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The American Swimming Coaches Association is excited to announce the <em>2021 World Clinic<\/em>&#8211;the premier convention and trade show for the swimming community&#8211;will be held <em>live and in person<\/em>\u00a0September 14-18 at the Rosen Centre in Orlando, Florida.<\/p>\n<p>A <em>much-see<\/em> Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games Recap featuring <strong>Rowdy Gaines<\/strong>, <strong>Nathan Manley,<\/strong> and <strong>Gregg Troy<\/strong> (and others to be announced) will headline the opening session on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s <em>ASCA World Clinic<\/em> will debut an exciting new format with \u201cpool sessions\u201d where coaches and athletes will present live demonstrations at the Rosen Center pool, and interactive workshops with a focus on diversity and equity discussions. Here\u2019s one of the raves from last year:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Unquestionably, it was the most outstanding short-term professional development workshop I have ever participated in, and I have attended and provided many of these as an educator.&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>ASCA Strength and Conditioning Certification Course:<\/strong> In Partnership with Charlie Hoolihan (CSCS, PES, CES), ASCA is offering a 12-part comprehensive swimming-specific Strength and Conditioning Certification Course.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mental Health First Aid:<\/strong> Samantha Arsenault Livingstone and <strong>Katie Kilty<\/strong> will conduct a training and certification program that teaches participants how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance abuse disorders in youth and emerging adults. This 6.5-hour training includes a 2-hour, self-paced online class, followed by a 4\u20135-hour instructor-led in-person experiential training. Molly is a member of the NSU Sharks Swim Team, a Division II program located in the Sunshine State Conference. She is currently a dual admission sophomore and plans to graduate with a marketing major and communications minor in 2021, then an MBA in 2022.
