FINIS Inc. is proud to announce the re-signing of 2017 World Champion and 2016 Olympic Medalist James Guy<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Guy was first introduced to FINIS at age 13 while attending Millfield School. James was given an original monofin by a friend, which happened to be signed by FINIS Co-Founders, Pablo Morales<\/strong> and John Mix<\/strong>. Today James still uses the monofin religiously for his underwater and butterfly kick, as well as speed training. Little did anyone know that James would be competing with Team FINIS 12 years later!<\/p>\n

Most recently, Guy had a stacked week of racing at the British Olympic Trials at the London Aquatic Center. Following finals for the 200m freestyle, Guy out performed his competition in both the 100m and 200m butterfly. Guy managed to shave 0.71 seconds off of his personal best in the 200m butterfly, finishing at 1:55.20. Furthermore, Guy also placed first in the 100m butterfly, with a time of 51.44, slightly under the British Record. While Guy is still under consideration for relays, his individual performance secured his spot on the 2021 British Olympic team.<\/p>\n
