THE CWRU men hosted Southwestern University this past Friday at the Veale Natatorium in their first varsity action since December 7.  <\/p>\n<p>The Spartans won 10 out of 13 events and the only mixed event.  Multiple individual event winners for CWRU included senior Matt Anderson (Fishers \u2013 IN), junior David Whitbeck (Northville \u2013 MI), and freshman David Loomis (Elkhart \u2013 IN).  <\/p>\n<p>Anderson won the 200-yard IM (2:09.96 and the 200-yard backstroke (2:04.49).  Whitbeck placed first in the 1000-yard freestyle (9:52.79) and the 200-yard butterfly (2:01.17).  Loomis won the 200-yard freestyle (1:50.65) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:01.12).  <\/p>\n<p>The CWRU women also faced Southwestern at home Friday and won eight of 12 events.  Mutiple individual event winners for the women included juniors Alicia Kendig (Lancaster \u2013 PA) and Liz Badziong (Parma &#8211; OH).  <\/p>\n<p>Kendig won the 200-yard freestyle (1:57.53) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:09.60.  Badziong won the 1000-yard freestyle (10:43.76) and the 200-yard IM (2:17.12).  <\/p>\n<p>The Spartans did travel to the College of Wooster this past Saturday to face Wooster and Oberlin College, but results are not in yet.
