The old record quartet consisted of\u00a0<strong>Adam Chaney<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Scott Shepherd<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jacob McDonald\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Carson Foster\u00a0<\/strong>as the Manta Rays still hold the 15-16 NAG record in the 200 medley relay.<\/p>\n<p>That same Rose Bowl quartet returned Sunday with a 2:59.57 in the 400 free relay, breaking the old record at 3:00.53 set earlier this season by Zionsville Swim Club in Indiana. Kim (45.19), Dalmacio (45.16), Larrick (45.17) and Maurer (44.05) became the youngest sub-3:00 400 free relay in short course yards. Kim and Dalmacio are both juniors in the class of 2022 while Larrick and Maurer are sophomores in the class of 2023.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday night, the quartet of Dalmacio (1:39.32), Kim (1:37.99), Larrick (1:36.79) and Maurer (1:36.35) demolished the 800 free relay NAG record with a 6:30.45, lowering the existing record of 6:36.61 set by the TAC Titans in 2020. That team of\u00a0<strong>Michael Cotter<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Lance Norris<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>David Greeley\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Braeden Haughey\u00a0<\/strong>had set the record a week before the COVID pandemic took full force in the US in March 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The Rose Bowl Aquatics 17-18 mixed 400 medley relay team of <strong>Tommy Park\u00a0<\/strong>(49.88),\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/usc-trojans-nab-verbal-commitments-from-in-state-standouts-mason-morris-chris-ogrady\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chris O&#8217;Grady<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(54.35),\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/from-club-teammates-to-college-teammates-cornell-gets-verbals-from-rose-bowl-aquatics-amanda-petersen-alex-syrkin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alex Syrkin<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(54.96) and\u00a0<strong>Emily Xu\u00a0<\/strong>(50.96) swam a 3:30.15 to lower the existing NAG record of 3:30.21 set in 2020 by the Aquatic Team of Mecklenburg team of <strong>Garrett Boone<\/strong>, <strong>Jack Meehan<\/strong>, <strong>Liza Whitmire<\/strong> and <strong>Lindsay Flynn<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rose Bowl Aquatics, a bronze medal club based in southern California, set four national age group relay records over the weekend at an intrasquad meet over the weekend.
