NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Northern Michigan University has added their first Class of 2026 verbal commitment from in-stater Joanne Arbic\u00a0<\/strong>of Pickford, Mich.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Northern Michigan University. Go Wildcats!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Primarily a sprinter, Arbic most recently won both the 50 free and 100 free at the MHSAA Upper Peninsula Finals last month en route to earning best times in both. In 2020, she was the runner-up in the 200 free at the MTSL Championship meet where she also finished sixth in the 100 free and 100 fly.<\/p>\n

She swims for Sault Area High School and Sault Competitive Aquatics.<\/p>\n
