<strong>Netherlands Team Time Trials <\/strong>to remain the fourth-fastest man in history and third in the world this year.<\/p>\n<p>The three-time European short-course champion split 27.31\/31.11 in Eindhoven with a morning swim that augurs well for Tokyo with its early finals.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.swimswam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/2021-04-30-05-01-HPC-EK-Test-wedstrijd-Results-Sessie-1.pdf\">Link to results<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Kamminga shaved 0.01 off his previous best of 58.43 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/arno-kamminga-on-insane-breaststroke-double-in-antwerp-training-for-an-under-threat-olympics\/\">from the <strong>Antwerp Diamond Race<\/strong> in March 2020<\/a>, days before the Olympics were postponed in the wake of the coronavirus.<\/p>\n<p>He now owns the 32 fastest times by a Dutch swimmer and Friday was his 11th time Antwerp swim behind only <strong>Adam Peaty<\/strong> (56.88) and <strong>Ilya Shymanovich<\/strong> (58.29).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nicolo Martinenghi<\/strong> also announced himself as another looking to break the 58-second barrier when he displaced Kamminga with a time of 58.37 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/martinenghi-goes-third-all-time-with-italian-100-breaststroke-record-of-58-37\/\">at the <strong>Italian Championships<\/strong> in Riccione at the start of April.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/adam-peaty-unleashes-57-39-over-100br-now-owns-the-top-20-performances-in-history\/\">Peaty tops this year&#8217;s rankings in 57.39<\/a> &#8211; on a day where he twice went 57 at the British trials in London &#8211; ahead of Martinenghi and Kamminga, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/kamminga-goes-58-64-in-100-breaststroke-at-eindhoven-qualification-meet\/\">who went 58.6 on two occasions at the <strong>Eindhoven Qualification Meet<\/strong> earlier this month.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Kamminga <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/arno-kamminga-becomes-fourth-sub-207-swimmer-in-200-breaststroke\/\">became the fourth man to gain entry to the 2:06 club over 200m when he went 2:06.85<\/a> at the <strong>2020 Rotterdam Qualification Meet<\/strong> in December last year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shoma Sato<\/strong> was the fifth swimmer inside 2:07 at the <strong>Kitajima Cup<\/strong> in January and now stands second all-time behind <strong>Anton Chupkov&#8217;<\/strong>s world record of 2:06.12 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/shoma-sato-just-misses-world-record-in-200-breaststroke-at-japanese-olympic-trials-moves-to-no-2-all-time\/\">after going 2:06.40 at the Toussaint<\/strong> win the 50\/100 backstroke double, going 27.81 over the shorter race <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/kira-toussaint-lowers-european-50-back-record-to-27-10-for-second-continental-mark-in-one-day\/\">weeks after twice lowering the European record to 27.10.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Toussaint, who trains at the <strong>National Centre Amsterdam<\/strong>, returned to go 59.73 over 100.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/heemskerk-clinches-second-50-free-slot-over-van-roon-dutch-50br-record-for-kamminga\/\"><strong>Femke Heemskerk<\/strong> claimed the second 50 free slot<\/a> on the <strong>Netherlands<\/strong> team for Tokyo following a swim-off against <strong>Valerie van Roon<\/strong> in Eindhoven.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday she took the 50 free in
