NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Brigham Young University has received their second verbal commitment for the 2022-23 season from Junior National qualifier Mackenzie Miller\u00a0<\/strong>of Sanger, Calif.<\/p>\n

She will join Julia Bartell<\/a>\u00a0<\/b>of Waconia, Minn. as a member of the Cougars’ Class of 2026.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

“I am so beyond ecstatic to announce my verbal commitment to continue my swimming and academic career at Brigham Young University! i want to say a huge thank you to my coaches, friends, and family that have helped me throughout this process, i wouldn\u2019t be where i am today without you! go cougs! ?”<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A talented breaststroker, Miller trains year-round with Clovis Swim Club and won the 100 breast at the 18&U Winter Championships in December after earning a best time at the Toyota U.S. Open in November. She collected three gold medals at the CCS LCM Junior Olympics in Summer 2019 before going on to take 12th in both the 100m\/200m breast at Arena Western Zones.<\/p>\n
