NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Alabama has added a new verbal pledge to their growing class for the 2022-23 season and beyond from\u00a0Alison Thome\u00a0<\/strong>of Waxhaw, N.C.<\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Lockett Bowley<\/strong><\/a>, Ana Fleming<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Laci Black<\/b><\/a>,\u00a0Mackenzie Brandt<\/b><\/a>,\u00a0Kylee Grafmiller<\/b><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Stella Grace Watts<\/b><\/a>\u00a0in Tuscaloosa as a member of Bama\u2019s Class of 2026.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Alabama! Big thanks to my friends, family, and coaches who supported me along the way! Roll tide\u2764\ufe0f?”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A talented sprint freestyler and IMer, Thome does her club swimming with SwimMAC Caroline and most recently earned two best times at Cary Sectionals last month where her highest finish was a 15th-place showing in the 200 IM. She also had a great showing at the 18&U Winter Championships in December, notching four lifetime bests and posting six top-14 finishes.<\/p>\n
