United States Aquatic Sports (USAS) congratulates Dale Neuburger<\/strong> on his recent appointment by the FINA Bureau to serve as FINA Treasurer,\u00a0following the resignation of Pipat\u00a0Paniangvait<\/strong> who had served in this position since 2009.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am very pleased that Dale Neuburger will serve in this important role for FINA, and he has our full trust, confidence, and support\u201d said USAS President, William (Bill) Smith<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Dale Neuburger is the United States Aquatic Sports representative to the FINA Bureau.\u00a0 He has been elected as FINA Vice President on five occasions, beginning in 2000 and currently serves as a member of the FINA Executive Committee.<\/p>\n

The FINA General Congress will take place in Doha (QAT) on June 5, and he is the only candidate for the FINA Treasurer position. Additionally, FINA\u00a0will elect a new President to succeed Julio Maglione<\/strong>, who will leave office after three terms.\u00a0\u00a0Husain Al-Musallam<\/strong>\u00a0of Kuwait, the sole candidate, will be elected as the international federation’s 18th President and the first from Asia.<\/p>\n

Neuburger currently serves as the Chairman of the FINA Development Commission (since 2009), FINA Bureau Liaison to the Technical Swimming Committee (since 2005), and Chairman of the FINA Technical Swimming Commission.\u00a0 He was appointed as Technical Delegate for Swimming in the 2008, 2012,\u00a02016, and 2020\u00a0Olympic Games and also in the 2010, 2014 and 2018 Youth Olympic Games.<\/p>\n

Neuburger previously served as the President of\u00a0USA Swimming (1998-2002); President of United States Aquatic Sports (2002-2006); Chairman of the International Swimming Hall of Fame (2004); and President of\u00a0the Union Americana De Natacion (UANA), the Continental Association for the Americas, from 2015 to 2019.\u00a0Neuburger is currently a Board member of US Aquatic Sports.<\/p>\n
