Well, just to be sure she is not ignored in other disciplines, Huske made a statement on Friday night, while racing at the TAC Titans Premier Invitational.<\/p>\n<p>A Stanford recruit, Huske unleashed a performance of 53.46 in the 100 freestyle to firmly establish herself as a challenger in the event for June\u2019s Olympic Trials in Omaha. En route to her career-best time, Huske finished just shy of the National Age Group record in the 17-18 classification, which is owned by Simone Manuel at 53.25.<\/p>\n<p>Huske was out in 25.51 and came home in 27.95, her 53-mid clocking providing a comfortable margin over fellow teenage star <strong>Claire<\/strong> <strong>Curzan<\/strong>, who was timed in 54.40. Curzan and Huske are among the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/claire-curzan-torri-huske-to-clash-in-100-butterfly-this-weekend-in-cary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">favorites to qualify for the Tokyo Games in the 100 butterfly<\/a> and while that event might be their best opportunity, they also possess vast skill in other areas.<\/p>\n<p>With Huske going 53-point at this point in the season, there is reason to believe she can challenge the 53-second barrier by the time the Olympic Trials roll around. Meanwhile, she and Curzan will duel later this weekend in the 100 fly, a clash which will be viewed as a precursor to Omaha.<\/p>\n<p>Huske also placed second in the 200 butterfly, which was won in impressive fashion by <strong>Charlotte Hook<\/strong> in 2:07.99. Huske checked in at 2:09.97.\u00a0The men&#8217;s 100 freestyle went to <strong>Justin Ress<\/strong>, whose mark of 49.06 beat out the 49.84 of <strong>Coleman
