On the second night of action, <strong>Louise Hansson<\/strong> shined in her homeland, popping a time of 56.73 to convincingly win the 100-meter butterfly.<\/p>\n<p>An NCAA champion in the 100 fly while at the University of Southern California, Hansson has enhanced her presence on the worldwide stage, with this latest effort boosting that cause and putting her into the Olympic-contender conversation for the <a href=\"https:\/\/tokyo2020.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tokyo Games<\/a>. Hansson was out in 26.38 to build a commanding lead and stayed strong on the way home. The time handed Hansson victory by more than a second over Greece\u2019s <strong>Anna Ntountounaki<\/strong> (58.03).<\/p>\n<p>Coming off an impressive triumph in the 400 freestyle on Thursday, Austria\u2019s <strong>Felix Auboeck<\/strong> put together another stellar performance when he prevailed in the 200 freestyle behind a time of 1:45.70. That mark was much quicker than the runnerup time of 1:47.19, posted by <strong>Kregor Zirk<\/strong> of Estonia.<\/p>\n<p>Reigning Olympic champion and world-record holder <strong>Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> of Hungary was dominant in the 400 individual medley, winning the event by more than four seconds. Hosszu registered a time of 4:38.85 and was followed by Israel\u2019s <strong>Anastasia Gorbenko<\/strong> in 4:43.27. Meanwhile, Denmark\u2019s <strong>Alexander Norgaard<\/strong> was tops in the men\u2019s 1500 freestyle with a time of 14:54.11.<\/p>\n<p>Other first-place finishes were claimed by <strong>Lucas Matzerath<\/strong> in the men\u2019s 100 breaststroke (1:00.03), <strong>Mimosa Jallow<\/strong> in the women\u2019s 100 backstroke (1:00.81) and <strong>Philip Heintz<\/strong> in the men\u2019s 100 butterfly (1:00.42). In sprint action, NCAA champion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/sophie-hansson-moves-to-third-all-time-to-win-first-ncaa-individual-title-in-100-breaststroke\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Sophie<\/strong> <strong>Hansson<\/strong><\/a>, who recently starred for North Carolina State, won the 50 breaststroke in 30.46.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Louise Hansson Blasts 56.73 in 100 Butterfly at Stockholm Open;
