NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Louisville has kept in-state standout\u00a0Jackson Millard\u00a0<\/strong>of Lexington, Ky. close to home for the fall of 2022 after the Junior National qualifier pledged his verbal commitment to the Cardinals.<\/p>\n

This is the Cardinals’ second public verbal commitment for the Class of 2026, as Millard will join fellow Bluegrass native Charlie Crush<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

“I am very proud to announce my verbal commitment to continue my careers on an academic and athletic level at the University of Louisville! I would like to thank everyone who has helped me throughout this process. I\u2019m very excited to be a part of the cardinal family!! Go Cards ?\u26ab\ufe0f”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A versatile swimmer who specializes in IM, Millard does his club swimming with Kentucky Aquatics and earned six best times at the Barbourville 18&U Winter Championships back in December. In December 2020, he won both the 200 IM and 400 IM at the Music City Invite and finaled in the latter event at Juniors East in 2019.<\/p>\n

Millard also had a strong showing at the Kentucky LCM 13&O Championships in July 2019, where he collected three gold medals and swam away with a best time in every event he competed in.<\/p>\n

Currently a junior at Henry Clay High School, Millard placed third in the 200 IM and fifth in the 100 back as a sophomore at the Kentucky State Championships.<\/p>\n
