The 23-year-old, representing Indiana Swim Club, set a meet record, downing the time of 2:14.13 from 2007 belonging to <strong>Ava Ohlgren.<\/strong> It\u2019s also one of the top 10 times in the world since the start of 2019. For comparison, her countrywoman <strong>Sydney Pickrem<\/strong> went 2:08.70 to win bronze in the event at the 2019 World Championships, and Andison\u2019s time would\u2019ve made the A final at both of the last two World Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Andison, who spent three years at Denver University <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ncaa-all-american-bailey-andison-announces-transfer-to-indiana\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">before her senior year at the University of Indiana<\/a>, is coming off a strong season with <a href=\"https:\/\/a.isl.global\/swimmer\/andison-bailey\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the D.C. Trident in the International Swimming League<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s 100 freestyle turned into an intriguing race, won by <strong>Kelsi Dahlia<\/strong> in 56.02. The 26-year-old Cardinal Aquatics swimmer\u2019s time was .01 quicker than 16-year-old <strong>Kristina Paegle,<\/strong> while third was <strong>Gabi DeLoof<\/strong> in 56.29.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zach Apple<\/strong> won the men\u2019s 100 free in more decisive fashion, going 48.89. It\u2019s a meet record, displacing the 50.35 set in 2009 by <strong>Evan Ryser.<\/strong> Second was <strong>Andrej Barna<\/strong> in 49.48 with Indiana\u2019s <strong>Tomer Frankel,<\/strong> fresh off the men&#8217;s NCAA Division I Championships, third in 50.08.<\/p>\n<p>The men\u2019s 200 IM went to <strong>Thomas Cope,<\/strong> who won in 2:01.93, a meet record. Second was <strong>William Modglin<\/strong> in 2:013.16, a hundredth ahead of Cope\u2019s Club Wolverine teammate <strong>Charlie Swanson.
