Florida\u2019s Kieran Smith has the second-fastest time at 1:29.48, set at this year\u2019s SEC Championships. Three-time champion Townley Haas of Texas is third at 1:29.50. \u2026 Cal\u2019s Andrew Seliskar won in 2019, after Haas won three in a row. \u2026 Matt Biondi, Gustavo Borges, Simon Burnett, Ryk Neethling and Haas each have won three. \u2026 USC and Texas each won eight as a team, while Arizona has seven.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Texas junior<strong> Drew Kibler<\/strong> took the top seed in the 200 free, touching the wall in 1:30.87.<\/p>\n<p>Florida junior <strong>Kieran Smith<\/strong> took the second seed in 1:31.69, just ahead of Cal senior <strong>Trenton Julian<\/strong> (1:31.95), in what looks poised to be an incredibly close three-way race for the title.<\/p>\n<p>Texas sophomore<strong> Peter Larson<\/strong> took the fourth seed in 1:32.53, followed by USC junior <strong>Alexei Sancov<\/strong> (1:32.55), LSU sophomore <strong>Brooks Curry<\/strong> (1:32.55), Ohio State senior<strong> Paul DeLakis<\/strong> (1:32.59) and Texas senior <strong>Jake Sannem<\/strong> (1:32.98).<\/p>\n<p>The Longhorns have three in the finals in the event and one more in the consolation finals. The 200 free is always a huge event for Texas and this year has proved to be the same as the Longhorns look to keep pace with Cal, which has one in the finals in this event.
