The team of\u00a0<strong>Morgan Scott\u00a0<\/strong>(47.78),\u00a0<strong>Kalia Antoniou\u00a0<\/strong>(47.16),\u00a0<strong>Flora Molnar\u00a0<\/strong>(47.94) and\u00a0<strong>Cora Dupre<\/strong> (46.90) also won the first swimming event national title as the Crimson Tide had only one title before this &#8211;\u00a0<strong>Lane Bassham&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>3m diving title from 2004.<\/p>\n<p>This Alabama team finished fifth overall which is highest finish at the NCAA women&#8217;s meet since\u00a0<strong>Ronald Reagan\u00a0<\/strong>was in Office as President of the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We worked really hard this entire season and we also have a senior on this relay in Flora. It was all for her,&#8221; Scott said. &#8220;It was about having fun and not about winning. It was about having each other&#8217;s backs.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Alabama Crimson Tide sort of spoiled Virginia&#8217;s party as the Cavaliers were looking to win their second relay of the meet and celebrate going out on a high note in winning <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/virginia-cavaliers-win-first-ever-national-title-in-school-history-full-team-list\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the school&#8217;s first national title in program history<\/a>. Nonetheless, Virginia finished runner-up at 3:10.45 and led for 350 yards with the team of <strong>Kate Douglass\u00a0<\/strong>(46.76),\u00a0<strong>Paige Madden <\/strong>(47.98),\u00a0<strong>Alex Walsh\u00a0<\/strong>(47.63) and\u00a0<strong>Lexi Cuomo\u00a0<\/strong>(48.08) as Virginia finished second in four relays this week.<\/p>\n<p>California finished third and nearly overtook the Cavaliers with a 3:10.64 with an insane anchor leg from\u00a0<strong>Izzy Ivey <\/strong>at 46.10 as the team of <strong>Robin Neumann <\/strong>(48.40),\u00a0<strong>Emily Gantriis\u00a0<\/strong>(48.20),\u00a0<strong>Elise Garcia\u00a0<\/strong>(47.94) and <strong>Isabel Ivey\u00a0<\/strong>(46.10) was third, giving Cal&#8217;s 12th straight finish in the top four as a team.<\/p>\n<p>NC State placed fourth overall from heat 3 (of 5) with the team of <strong>Katharine Berkoff\u00a0<\/strong>(47.94),\u00a0<strong>Kylee Alons\u00a0<\/strong>(47.05),\u00a0<strong>Sophie Hansson\u00a0<\/strong>(47.80) and\u00a0<strong>Julia Poole <\/strong>(48.46) as their finish solidified the runner-up in the team standings, their highest finish in school history.<\/p>\n<p>Tennessee (3:12.66), Ohio State (3:13.03), Georgia (3:13.09) and Michigan (3:13.35) also placed in the top eight.<\/p>\n<p>The fastest splits outside the top four came from Michigan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Maggie MacNeil\u00a0<\/strong>(46.94), Tennessee&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tjasa Pintar<\/strong> (47.35), Georgia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Zoie Hartman\u00a0<\/strong>(47.51) and Texas&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Julia
