The relays are all timed finals and will take place during the finals session.<\/p>\n<p>Virginia leads the meet after winning the 800 free relay on opening night of the NCAA Championships, then claiming all three individual titles on Day 2, while also taking runner-up in both relays. The Cavaliers have plenty of fire power in today&#8217;s events as well.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/watch\/player\/_\/id\/55c111e9-9709-422b-84f5-7b469892b380\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Stream<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/swimmeetresults.tech\/NCAA-Division-I-Women-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/2021-ncaa-division-i-womens-swimming-and-diving-championshipss\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Complete meet coverage<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>NCAA Championships: Women\u2019s 400 IM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Stanford\u2019s<strong> Ella Eastin<\/strong> has the NCAA record in 3:54.60. Stanford has four of the top nine performers all time. Eastin won the past four titles in the event, a rare four-year sweep. She went 1-2 with <strong>Brooke Forde<\/strong> in 2019. Stanford has won eight of the past 12 championships in the event with <strong>Maya DiRado<\/strong> winning in 2014 and <strong>Julia Smit<\/strong> winning three in a row from 2008-2010. The Cardinal have won a stunning 12 titles in this event overall, including two by <strong>Summer Sanders<\/strong> and one from <strong>Janet Evans <\/strong>and<strong> Michelle Griglione<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Virginia kept the momentum going into the third day of the meet with sophomore <strong>Ella Nelson<\/strong> taking the top seed in the 400 IM in 4:04.47.<\/p>\n<p>Kentucky sophomore <strong>Lauren Pool<\/strong>e took the second seed in 4:04.54, ahead of Stanford senior <strong>Brooke Forde<\/strong> (4:04.92).<\/p>\n<p>Indiana senior <strong>Josie Grote<\/strong> took the fourth seed in 4:05.33, followed by Ohio State senior<strong> Katie Trace<\/strong> (4:06.20), Texas senior <strong>Evie Pfeifer<\/strong> (4:06.29) and Virginia Tech senior <strong>Reka Gyorgy<\/strong> (4:06.77).<\/p>\n<p>Michigan freshman <strong>Kathryn Ackerman<\/strong> rounded out the top eight with a swim of 4:07.35 in prelims.<\/p>\n<p>NCAA
