NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Georgia Tech has picked up a new verbal commitment for the 2022-23 season and beyond from Junior National qualifier Caroline Porterfield\u00a0<\/strong>of Columbus, Ohio.<\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Kiah Smith<\/strong><\/a>, Sabina Mrzyglod<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Kendal Chunn<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>as a member of the Yellow Jackets\u2019 Class of 2026.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Georgia Tech! I want to thank my family, coaches and friends who have been by my side throughout this process. I can\u2019t wait to be a part of this amazing team. #GOJACKETS”<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A talented sprinter, Porterfield trains year-round with Upper Arlington Swim Club and earned three best times at the Oxford 18&U Winter Championships in December. In Summer 2019, she earned 100% best times at Ohio LCM Seniors before going on to race four events at Geneva Futures.<\/p>\n
