NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Duke University has secured their sixth early verbal commitment for the fall of 2022 from Junior National qualifier Isabella Abrajan\u00a0<\/strong>of Ladera Ranch, Calif.<\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Kiki Kennedy<\/strong><\/a>, Madeline Meredith<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Martina Peroni<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Kaelyn Gridley\u00a0<\/b><\/a>and\u00a0Tatum Wall<\/b><\/a>\u00a0in as a member of the Blue Devils\u2019 Class of 2026.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

“It is with immense gratitude and fulfillment that I announce my verbal commitment to further my academic and athletic careers at Duke University! I want to thank my teammates, teachers, and coach Mark Schubert for all their support. I especially want to thank my mom because without her resilience and sacrifices as a single parent, I would not be here.”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A versatile swimmer, Abrajan does her club swimming with the Mission Viejo Nadadores and last competed at the TYR Pro Swim Series in Richmond where she placed ninth in the 200m fly. She raced four events at the Toyota U.S. Open in November and notched a best time at Junior Nationals in August 2019.<\/p>\n
