The team of\u00a0<strong>Wyatt Davis\u00a0<\/strong>(21.07),\u00a0<strong>William Chan\u00a0<\/strong>(22.67),\u00a0<strong>River Wright\u00a0<\/strong>(19.88) and\u00a0<strong>Gus Borges\u00a0<\/strong>(18.73) beat an incredibly stacked field as arch rival Ohio State finished in second at 1:23.27 while Indiana was third at 1:23.82.<\/p>\n<p>Michigan now leads the likes of Texas, Louisville and Florida in the national rankings.<\/p>\n<p>The Buckeyes swam with\u00a0<strong>Colin McDermott\u00a0<\/strong>(21.25),\u00a0<strong>Hudson McDaniel\u00a0<\/strong>(22.97),\u00a0<strong>Justin Fleagle\u00a0<\/strong>(20.62) and\u00a0<strong>Semuede Andreis\u00a0<\/strong>(18.43) as they now rank fifth nationally ahead of NCAAs.<\/p>\n<p>Indiana was third from heat two at 1:23.35 with the team of\u00a0<strong>Brendan Burns\u00a0<\/strong>(21.31),\u00a0<strong>Zane Backes\u00a0<\/strong>(23.22),\u00a0<strong>Tomer Frankel\u00a0<\/strong>(20.13) and\u00a0<strong>Jack Franzman\u00a0<\/strong>(18.69).<\/p>\n<p>The fastest relay splits outside the top three were Penn State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>William Roberson\u00a0<\/strong>(21.36), Minnesota&#8217;s\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/max-mchugh-splits-all-time-fastest-50-breaststroke-at-big-ten-mens-swimming-championships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Max McHugh<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(22.40, fastest ever), Iowa&#8217;s <strong>Sergey Kuznetsov\u00a0<\/strong>(20.57) and Purdue&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nikola Acin\u00a0<\/strong>(18.59).<\/p>\n<div class=\"oembed-wrap\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">WATCH: Wyatt Davis, Will Chan, River Wright and Gus Borges bring home GOLD in the 200 Medley Relay, coming with a tenth-of-a-second of the school record to open the Big Ten Championships! The Wolverines swam in the final heat while Ohio State (6:14.51) and Indiana (6:16.12) put up times for them to chase in heat two. This is Michigan&#8217;s 18th 800 free relay title in the last 21 years. They now sit seventh nationally behind Texas, Texas A&amp;M, Florida, Cal and NC State and Stanford<\/p>\n<p>Ohio State was second from heat two with a 6:14.51 as the team of\u00a0<strong>Paul DeLakis\u00a0<\/strong>(1:31.90),\u00a0<strong>Joseph Armstrong\u00a0<\/strong>(1:32.66),\u00a0<strong>John Satterfield\u00a0<\/strong>(1:34.65) and\u00a0<strong>Thomas Watkins\u00a0<\/strong>(1:35.30) finished runner-up and pushed Michigan virtually the entire way.<\/p>\n<p>Indiana finished in third at 6:16.12 with the team of\u00a0<strong>Tomer Frankel\u00a0<\/strong>(1:33.17),\u00a0<strong>Brendan Burns\u00a0<\/strong>(1:33.54),\u00a0<strong>Jacob Destrampe\u00a0<\/strong>(1:36.30) and\u00a0<strong>Van
