The Buckeyes won with relay success and depth. OSU won five events in the meet heading into the final relay.<\/p>\n<p>Michigan tried to close the gap in the final two days, and had a strong finish with two 1-2 finishes on Saturday, but it was ultimately not enough to catch the Buckeyes.<\/p>\n<p>Ohio State finished with 1,584 points, followed by Michigan (1,326.5), Indiana (1,066.5) and Northwestern (992).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Ohio State wins the 2021 Big Ten Swimming and Diving Championship and successfully defends its 2020 crown. Both swimmers finished in 47.98.<\/p>\n<p>Ohio State senior <strong>Taylor Petrak<\/strong> took fourth, just one hundredth of a second behind the tied duo in 47.99.<\/p>\n<p>Indiana sophomore <strong>Ashley Turak<\/strong> was fifth in 48.60, followed by Ohio State sophomore <strong>Amy Fulmer<\/strong> (48.69), OSU freshman <strong>Katherine Zenick<\/strong> (48.74) and Northwestern heels.<\/p>\n<p>Northwestern freshman <strong>Lola Mull<\/strong> was third in 16:08.33, ahead of Ohio State\u2019s <strong>Veronica Tafuto<\/strong> (16:08.40) and <strong>Maya<\/strong>
