In the fastest seeded heat, Texas A&amp;M and Alabama tied for the win with a 1:23.28, but settled for second place overall as the Gators opened up their pursuit of a ninth straight SEC team title.<\/p>\n<p>The team of\u00a0<strong>Adam Chaney\u00a0<\/strong>(20.72),\u00a0<strong>Dillon Hillis\u00a0<\/strong>(23.26),\u00a0<strong>Eric Friese\u00a0<\/strong>(20.54) and\u00a0<strong>Will Davis\u00a0<\/strong>(18.65) won for the Gators to put themselves at the top of the national rankings with 29 days to go until NCAAs in Greensboro. This is also Florida&#8217;s first time winning the 200 medley relay at SECs since 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Texas A&amp;M and Alabama tied for second from the final heat in what was a shocking finish, due to neither team claiming they won the SEC title.\u00a0<strong>Shaine Casas\u00a0<\/strong>got things started for the Aggies at 20.61, handing to\u00a0<strong>Tanner Olson\u00a0<\/strong>(23.26),\u00a0<strong>Jace Brown\u00a0<\/strong>(20.50) and\u00a0<strong>Mark Theall\u00a0<\/strong>(18.91). Theall was run down by Alabama&#8217;s anchor\u00a0<strong>Matt King<\/strong>, who came home in an 18.61. The team of\u00a0<strong>Matthew Menke\u00a0<\/strong>(21.03),\u00a0<strong>Derek Maas\u00a0<\/strong>(23.35),\u00a0<strong>Colton Stogner <\/strong>(20.29) and King officially tied for second overall and sit in that same spot nationally.<\/p>\n<p>Georgia, who came in as the top seed, finished fourth at 1:23.62, adding 0.02 on their season best with Tennessee in fifth at 1:24.39.<\/p>\n<p>The fastest splits outside the top three came from Georgia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Javier Acevedo\u00a0<\/strong>(21.09), Tennessee&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Michael Houlie\u00a0<\/strong>(22.77), Georgia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/how-camden-murphy-is-adjusting-to-covid-protocols-to-lead-georgia-in-a-season-like-no-other\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Camden Murphy<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(19.97), and Georgia&#8217;s <strong>D<\/strong><strong>illon Downing\u00a0<\/strong>(18.59).<\/p>\n<p>For reference, the fastest breaststroke split ever is\u00a0<strong>Carsten Vissering&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>22.58 from 2018.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Xyq4C0aiWOg\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<pre><b> Event 1  Men 200 Yard Medley Relay<\/b>\r\n====================================================================\r\n         NCAA: N 1:21.54  3\/24\/2017 Texas\r\n                          J.
