The Cougars won four of five relays, with senior <strong>Connor Stirling<\/strong> anchoring all four. Stirling also finished third in the 50 freestyle and second in the 100 butterfly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Josue Dominguez<\/strong>, who swam on three winning relays, won the 100 breaststroke in an MPSF Championship record 51.81 seconds. He was also second in the 200 breast, with <strong>Alec Cullen\u2019s<\/strong> record swim of 1:55.41 required to beat him, the UCSB swimmer breaking his record from 2020. BYU\u2019s <strong>Brad Prolo<\/strong> erased the oldest MPSF Championship record on the books in the 200 fly, going 1:44.16 to take down a record that had stood since 2013. Prolo was also second to Dominguez in the 100 breast.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Javier Nicolas,<\/strong> who was on three winning BYU relays, won the 100 fly, 200 individual medley and was second to Prolo in the 200 fly. <strong>Roger Woods,<\/strong> winner of the 100 free, lent his speed to two winning BYU relays. <strong>Tama Tuitama<\/strong> (second in the 200 IM, second in the 400 IM, third in the 200 back) also supplied big points.<\/p>\n<p>Hawaii\u2019s <strong>Tim Gallagher<\/strong> won two events, claiming the 100 back and 200 back. Cal Poly\u2019s <strong>Kieran McNulty<\/strong> reigned in the 500 free and 1,650. UCSB\u2019s <strong>Dominic Falcon<\/strong> won the 400 IM and was second to McNulty in the 500.<\/p>\n<p>Hawaii won both men\u2019s diving events, with <strong>Mason Williams<\/strong> claiming the one-meter and <strong>Max Burman<\/strong> the three-meter. <strong>Mickey Strauss<\/strong> of BYU was second in both, and Williams grabbed bronze on the higher board.<\/p>\n<p>On the women\u2019s side, Hawaii defended its title behind three relay wins, with <strong>Anna Kotonen<\/strong> and <strong>Lucia Lassman<\/strong> swimming on each. Kotonen also won the 100 free to augment silver medals in the 100 breast and 50 free. <strong>Anna Friedrich,<\/strong> a member of two victorious relays, won the 200 back and added top-four finishes in the 200 free and 500 free. <strong>Katie Strachan<\/strong> was second in the 200 breast and 400 IM.<\/p>\n<p>The outstanding swimmer of the meet was BYU\u2019s <strong>Katie McBratney,<\/strong> who won five races. She was the winner in the 100 breast, 200 breast and 200 IM, the first two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/byu-sets-mpsf-breaststroke-records-via-katie-mcbratney-josue-dominguez\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">in MPSF Championship record times<\/a>. She was also on both winning relays along with <strong>Gwen Gustafson<\/strong> (winner of the 50 free, 200 free and runner-up in the 100 free) and <strong>Brynn Sproul<\/strong> (second in the 100 back, third in the 200 back).<\/p>\n<p>UC Davis\u2019 <strong>Mia Motekaitis<\/strong> won the 500 and was second in the 200 free as it finished third.<\/p>\n<p>UCSB was fourth with plenty of podium performances. <strong>Maelynn Lawrence<\/strong> won the 1,650 and 200 fly and was second in the 500 free. <strong>Dani Carter,<\/strong> winner of the 100 back, was second in the 200 back and third
