Coordinated raids across the city swept up Miller <a href=\"https:\/\/www.9news.com.au\/national\/scott-miller-arrested-alleged-drug-bust-2-million-dollars-worth-ice-concealed-in-candles\/0d4e6d92-9f07-42d2-ad68-4d56a8960a90\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">at his home in Rozelle<\/a> and apprehended an unidentified man at another location. He won the silver medal in the men\u2019s 100 butterfly at the 1996 Olympic Games, only a world record by <strong>Denis Pankratov<\/strong> of Russia standing between him and gold. Miller had set the Olympic record in prelims at 52.89 and went 52.53 in finals.<\/p>\n<p>Miller also earned bronze in the 400 medley relay in Atlanta. By the 2000 Sydney Games, he\u2019d been supplanted by <strong>Michael Klim<\/strong> (sixth in the 100 fly in Atlanta) and <strong>Geoff Huegill,<\/strong> both of whom medaled in the 100 fly in Sydney.<\/p>\n<p>Miller won gold in the 100 fly and silver in the 200 at the 1994 Commonwealth Games and the 1995 World Championships. He swept gold in both events at the 1995 Pac Pacific Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Miller, 46, has battled drug issues and had run-ins with the law before. He was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/australian-olympic-silver-medalist-scott-miller-arrested\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">arrested in 2008<\/a> and charged with being part of a drug distribution syndicate, pleading guilty and being sentenced to community service and probation. He was arrested again in 2013 and hit with a suspended jail sentence.<\/p>\n<p>He tested positive in the late 1990s for marijuana while he was still competing.
