NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Northwestern University has picked up their fourth verbal commitment for the 2022-23 season and beyond from Junior National qualifier Lindsay Ervin\u00a0<\/strong>of Irvine, Calif.<\/p>\n

She will join Hana Shimizu-Bowers<\/strong><\/a>, Mackenzie Lanning<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Riley Huddleston<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0as a member of the Wildcats\u2019 Class of 2026.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m so thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at Northwestern University! Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way especially my family, friends, and coaches! GO \u2018CATS \"?\"“<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A talented sprinter, Ervin does her club swimming with Irvine Novaquatics and raced the 50m\/100m free at the Toyota U.S. Open in November and won the B-final of the 50 free at Juniors West in December 2019.<\/p>\n

In Summer 2019, she grabbed gold in both the 50m free and 100m back at the MVN Junior Olympics before going on to take 22nd overall in the 50m free.<\/p>\n
