NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Freestyle ace\u00a0Elena Gingras\u00a0<\/strong>of Portland, Ore. has announced her verbal commitment to continue her academic and swimming career at Tulane University beginning in the fall 0f 2022.<\/p>\n

She will join Sydney Mullin <\/strong><\/a>and\u00a0Olcaytu Hatipoglu<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>as a member of the Green Wave\u2019s Class of 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Tulane University! Thank you to my coaches, family, and friends who supported me and helped me get here. Roll Wave\u00a0\"?\"\"?\"\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Gingras, who trains year-round with Lake Oswego Swim Club, picked up seven lifetime bests at the Region XII Senior Championships in March 2020 after posting a third-place finish in the 500 free at the Washington Open last January.<\/p>\n

In Summer 2019, she grabbed gold in the 400m free and bronze in the 100m\/200m free at the Oregon 11&O Championships before going on to compete at Mound Hood Futures.<\/p>\n
