NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Drexel University has received a new commitment for the 2021-22 season and beyond from butterflyer Elizabeth McDevitt<\/strong> of Burlington, N.C.<\/p>\n

She will join Mariangela Cincotti<\/strong><\/a> of Weston, Fla. as a member of the Dragons’ Class of 2025.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am super excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Drexel University.\u00a0 Thank you to all my family, friends and coaches who have helped me along the way.\u00a0 I can\u2019t wait to be a Dragon!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

McDevitt does her club swimming with Alamance County Community YBAC Hurricanes and earned a best time at the 18&U Winter Championships in December and placed seventh in the 100 fly at North Carolina Seniors last February.<\/p>\n

In Summer 2019, she finaled in the 100m fly at North Carolina LCM Seniors before going on to race three events at YMCA Long Course Nationals.<\/p>\n
